New Numbers Make For Best Q1 Of All Time

March numbers have capped off a powerful three-month run at Key West International Airport, making for the most successful first quarter, and month, in airport history. A total 175,779 passengers used the airport in March, contributing to a traveler tally that is nearing 500,000. In the first quarter, the airport saw an increase of 6.9 percent over Q1 2025, while the month of March saw a 4.9 percent increase year over year.

Record Performance

Richard Strickland, Executive Director of Airports, said airline confidence, strong leisure demand and infrastructure improvements have resulted in sustained, record-breaking growth. The airport’s new baggage claim (pictured at right) is just one example of recent upgrades.
