June Numbers Soar; Seasonal Service Update

✈Air travel to the Florida Keys has soared this summer with the 1-million-passenger mark in clear view at EYW.
“We continue to aim high and strive for excellence,” said Richard Strickland, Executive Director of Airports, regarding a 10.7 percent bump year to date as of June. “The first half of the year has been a huge success as we continue to break previous records."
819,702 passengers used the airport from January to June, shattering previous YTD records. June alone saw a 7.8 percent increase year over year at 105,523 passengers for the month.
❗Seasonal Service Alert❗
Some of EYW’s six major airlines have made seasonal service adjustments. Changes vary among airlines and at the time of this press release, they are as follows:
Jet Blue will resume its daily nonstop service to Boston (BOS) on October 17 aboard the Airbus A220.
American Airlines and Delta Air Lines will return with nonstop service to New York’s LaGuardia (LGA) in December.
United Airlines will resume nonstop daily service to Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) in late October on mainline 737-700 aircraft. United will also resume nonstop service to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) in late December.
