Key West International Airport has broken its all-time record for passengers per month with 155,140 travelers using the airport in January. An increase of 5,634 passengers for the month reflects a 3.8 percent hike, year over year. Additionally, the airport saw eight of its top ten busiest days of all time in January.

Record-setting growth is due to new airlines, growing air service, and increased seat capacity, the total number of passengers an aircraft is authorized or configured to carry.

“What these numbers prove is Key West International Airport continues to engage the interest of our airline partners and passengers from a variety of destinations across the United States.”

- Richard Strickland, Executive Director of Airports
