Outstanding performance has landed the Envoy Air (American Airlines) team at Key West International Airport a Customer Cup award. It is the third time EYW’s Envoy Air has been recognized by sister company American Airlines, with two of the awards being received for excellent service in the second and fourth quarters of 2025.

The fourth quarter award was announced in early March, with a celebration held in EYW’s Concourse A on April 2, 2026. Airport staff and Executive Director Richard Strickland joined the celebration at
Gate 3.

“I sincerely congratulate the EYW Envoy Air team for exemplifying the kind of performance we expect and appreciate at Key West International Airport,” said Executive Director of Airports Richard Strickland.

“We’re pleased to recognize the entire Key West team on their Customer Cup win,” said Jorge Ramirez, Envoy Vice President, International Operations. “The enhanced terminal isn’t just a fantastic win for the customers and the Key West community, but also for our employees who can better support our operation and continue to enhance the travel experience. This is a shared achievement and we’re proud to be part of it.”

About the Customer Cup

The Customer Cup award groups Envoy Air into categories based on size and operational likeness. For the EYW team, that means competing against peer teams from seven other domestic airports and six international airports. Top-performing stations in those categories are awarded based on a range of metrics:

Net Promoter Score (the likelihood that customers will recommend their travel experience to friends and family members), Customer Experience and Overall Airport Experience

Operational Metrics, including on-time departures (D0), aircraft turns (T0) and mishandled baggage (MBR)

Safety (injuries and aircraft/equipment damage)

EYW has received three Cup wins, in 3Q18, 2Q25 and 4Q25.
