Concourse A Update #9: Pile Caps Poured

Airport officials said there was much construction progress this week on the Concourse A and Terminal Expansion Program. 

Nine pile caps were poured as of Thursday, April 20, 2023. A pile cap is a thick concrete mat that rests on a concrete pile to provide a stable foundation. 

Reinforcing steel has been installed on remaining pile caps for a tentative pour next week.

Plans are in place for nighttime apron work to begin in the coming weeks.
